Trauma comes in many forms and affects thousands of Australians. Phoenix Australia, affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne, specialises in trauma-related mental health and wellbeing through research, prevention and recovery services. Their expertise is sought by companies and government bodies in Australia and more than 15 other countries around the world.

Paoli Smith was contracted to design and develop the main website for Phoenix providing information and resources to support individuals, families, communities and organisations. We also developed two other sites, the Disaster Mental Health Hub for professionals supporting disaster-impacted individuals and the Responder Assist site for emergency service workers.

For each project, we worked closely with Phoenix staff and departments to develop a content strategy, optimise the online journey, consolidate key information and deliver the most straightforward user experience.
