The Great Victorian Rail Trail is the longest continuous rail trail in Australia and is rich with stories and adventure. The multi-use rail trail spans 134 kilometres from Tallarook to Alexandra and crosses Mitchell, Murrindindi and Mansfield Shires. The $14.2 million project is testimony to what is possible from local, state and federal government partnerships. Construction included 134 kilometres of pathway, 73 bridges, 55 road crossings, one underpass and essential amenities.
